Landscapes
2014 - 2019
I was born and raised in southeastern New Mexico where tarantulas and rattlesnakes are as common as Starbucks in Seattle. My childhood fostered a love of the outdoors through adventures exploring caves, sand dunes and forests. I developed a passion for documenting the natural world and for sharing images of these beautiful places that are close to my heart.
Through photography, I hope to express a feeling of adventure and wonder. I want my photographs to inspire people to explore the great outdoors and to be good stewards of the land.
I chose to focus on black and white photography because I believe it best represents the experience of a place. Furthermore, I believe infrared black and white photography presents a place more like a vivid dream. My photographs are not meant to represent a place exactly as it is but as a faded memory of a place to which you long to return.
